On protests in the night of the 6th of August, protesters in Portland were surrounded by police, and consequently made a shield wall. This allowed for a few de-arrests and deterred the police from charging or advancing into the heavily geared crowd. Tear gas as well is only for cosmetic now, as most protesters in Portland have experienced it so much that it seems as though they have developed an immunity.

Protests and riots have erupted in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after police shot Jacob Blake, a husband and father of three, 7 times in the back, without probably cause or any possible reason to feel threatened. Many downtown businesses and courthouses have been set on fire in Kenosha, and protests have also erupted downtown.
