J25 Day of Action
Demonstrations After Shooting of Dijon Kizzee
California is a very progressive state, and thus has been hugely involved in the protests, and has centered demonstrations around Oakland and Los Angeles for months on end, since May 27. Initially, they were hit very hard by police brutality and general disregard for public safety.
J25 Day of Action
The J25 Day of Action was conducted in solidarity with the Pacific Northwest Uprising and the Youth Liberation Front, and significant action occurred in Oakland and Marin, a rural county north of the Bay Area.
Protests Following the Shooting of Dijon Kizzee
Dijon Kizzee, a 29-year-old black man, was shot by police on August 31st, prompting protests occurring on the same day in Los Angeles.
